Liscombe Lodge presents Dogs Gone Wild weekend retreat!

Halifax, Nova Scotia: May 13, 2008 -- If you’ve ever wanted to treat your canine companion to an all-inclusive weekend of doggy-friendly fun, now is your chance.

The Dogs Gone Wild weekend retreat, taking place at Liscombe Lodge, May 23 to 25, offers busy dog owners the chance to laugh and relax with their canine companions while enjoying top-notch, all-inclusive service at the beautiful Liscombe Lodge.

“This retreat is sure to be a blast for dogs and owners alike,” said Guido Kerpel, vice president, Canadian Region, New Castle Hotels & Resorts. “In addition to the great hiking trails and recreation facilities at the resort, our staff has lots of fun games and doggy activities planned.”

The weekend package costs $215.00 per person (and dog) and includes two nights accommodation, a doggy meet and greet on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, a doggy shindig lunch Saturday, and a Saturday night BBQ buffet dinner, in addition to all of the weekend-long games and activities.

Dog-friendly activities include guided hikes, rally, and other fun, energy-filled games. Dog owners will be offered seminars on first aid, nutrition, agility and choosing the right dog and a complimentary pontoon ride to learn the folklore of the Liscomb area. On Saturday evening, guests can relax with other dog owners while enjoying canine-themed movies and games. The evening will end around the bonfire with a midnight snack for owners and their four-legged friend. After Sunday breakfast, a doggie graduation will complete the weekend.
